Unfortunately  this was not the case, they did however announce that the Palm would receive an emulator and they also announced they are not taking applications for an "early look" .

The SDK will be made available to developers that the company will be cherry-picking from today and this should help get the number of 3rd party applications up for the launch of the Palm Pre
